The BMC organizes several prospecting adventures each year at mines and other mineral collecting localities in New England and nearby New York. On occasion, heavy equipment is used to expose high-yield matrix material for spectacular collecting. Membership in the BMC often provides access to otherwise closed localities. Collected specimens may be displayed in "show-and-tell" fashion at BMC meetings, where tips on specimen identification, preparation and display are shared.
You must be a member of the club to participate in field trips. All participants must register with the trip leader prior to the day of the trip in order to get more detailed trip information and directions.
